Automated Word Speller [Update]

My Automated Word Speller is now capable of displaying codes/e-mail addresses as images as well as converting them to MP3 dictations.

Codes produced using the script look like this:

Try it out for yourself; use the form below to create a one-time link, or read my article on Public-Key Cryptography in PHP to create your own links on the fly.

Try it out; enter a word: (supports a-z, 0-9, @ and .)

  • It didn't quite work for me.
The address dind't show the dot, and the audio only contained the first character.
Simple bugs, but nontheless... it's broken.

Nice work anyway... and it's rather accesible.
I imagine this needs the PHP script to be uploaded to the server in order to work with multiple adresses... or I can have the image/audio uploaded directly also. But it would be nice to have the script to generate them without coming to your blog.

    Thanks!

  • It did work for me. I could see the dot and could hear all the characters.
However, I do agree that the code should be posted, at least the code to generate the image.

Thanks, and good luck at MS in Redmond.

  • I have posted code to let you create these images (and sound files for your site). The code is in a seperate artcile here. The images and sound files will still be produced on my server, this article just explains how to link to them without an intruder being able to convert the links into the plaintext.
